Granite is a beautiful material that instantly elevates interior environments, such as the kitchen, but is also notorious for its porosity – a feature that affects the longevity of the material as an effective worktop. Enter Sensa by Cosentino, a product that represents a radical shift in the use of granite as an interior surface.

In pursuit of nature’s most beautiful stone, the granite that goes into the Sensa collection is sourced from quarries around the world, including Brazil and India.

An invisible, protective treatment called Senguard NK – developed by the research and development team of Cosentino – drastically protects Sensa surfaces from contacting stains by repelling liquid. It is also UV-resistant, preventing colour run to maintain the natural beauty of the material for the long term.

Marrying aesthetics and functionality, users can now enjoy the beauty of granite without worrying about its durability. Despite the rigours of daily usage, Sensa is made to retain its pristine condition.

According to Cosentino, which is offering a 15-year warranty for the product, the protective layer is especially effective for white and light-coloured stones.

Scalea enables new methods of working with traditional materials such as marble quartzite, granite and slate. Dark Emperador, Creama Marfil and Blanco Alaskan from Spain Quarries are now available to the local market.
