Newly established, the LAB2.1 platform sees Singapore’s own Sol Luminaire take lighting to bold and all new areas of design and aesthetics.
The LAB2.1 platform was started for Sol Luminaire to advocate for a fresh new voice in lighting design. Under this banner, Sol Luminaire presents lighting that pushes boundaries; that’s experiential; lighting that reaches into the world of the avant-garde. Suitably, all objects designed under this lab are named after the respective chemical compounds built for each luminaire series.
Boundary pushing in design yet as perfectly functional as you’ve come to expect from Sol Luminaire, the LAB2.1 collections elevate contemporary home design to the next level. Through partnerships with London’s Buster + Punch and local Singaporean scent partner Artisan of Sense, these are objects that will not only light the home, but enhance it.
Buster + Punch’s unique design aesthetic sees a range of switches, sockets and loose furniture hardware that complement the daring range of the LAB2.1’s collection effortlessly, and with pristine functionality. Showing that this collection is about more than simple lighting, the partnership with Artisan of Sense sees a suite of lifestyle products such as candles, diffusers and scent bars, elevating the ambiance of the collection.
The LAB2.1 online store is available now, where a selection of Pendant lights, Wall lights, Table lamps and Floor lamps are available. Prices for the collection range from $209-$749 before GST, with a 3 year on-site warranty. All products in the collection have a Correlated Colour Temperature of Warm White 3000K.
These avant-garde items can also be seen and admired in-store at 399 Guillemard Road Singapore 399793. This physical store launch will be accompanied by a grand opening party that celebrates this innovative new design lab, as well as mark the 3rd anniversary of the Sol Luminaire brand. Be sure to follow along with Sol Luminaire’s social media channels (Facebook and Instagram) so you don’t miss your invite!
Till then, take a look through the digital gallery of the LAB2.1, and let the avant-garde design of this unique approach to lighting inspire your next project.
