Designed by renowned Dutch architect Ben van Berkel of UNStudio in collaboration with Ong&Ong, Scotts Tower is one of the most prestigious residential addresses on the Little Red Dot.

Comprising 231 units of SOHO apartments and penthouses, the 31-storey tower owned by Far East Organisation was conceptualised as a vertical city comprising a variety of residence types and scales stacked together.

Binding these different scales are two gestures – the vertical frame and the sky frame. The vertical frame divides the four residential clusters into different neighbourhoods while the sky frames are outdoor public terraces located on levels 2 and 25 that organise the amenity spaces and green areas of the tower.

Furnishing these outdoor spaces to the character and qualities of the architecture requires a sensitive approach. A variety of pieces from Marquis HQO were selected to complement the architecture and establish zones of intimate comfort.

On the second floor, Paola Lenti’s Sand lounge chairs reinforce the visual expression of the facade of the sky lobby. The seat pads of these lounge chairs are upholstered with Paola Lenti’s UV- and water-resistant fabric Luz while their bodies are finished with the brand’s award-winning signature woven fabric Rope. The fabric pairing equates to both comfort and ease of maintenance.

At the outdoor dining area on level 2, Kettal’s white Rectangular dining tables are paired with Paola Lenti’s Afra easy chair and Strip side table to create an inviting place to sit and admire the view.

The furniture selection takes a more minimalist turn on level 25. Kettal’s Sun Loungers deck the Jacuzzi. The pale tones were selected to match the sky. Kettal’s white Rectangular dining tables also deck this area for a similar purpose of strengthening the overall quality of the space.

If there is one element of furniture that breaks away from the sleek minimalist aesthetic on this floor, it is the Lapala chair from Expormim. Featuring braided rope seats, these chairs were selected to add a softer touch in the hopes of encouraging comfortable interactions between residents.
