Belgian outdoor furniture brand Tribù has expanded one of its bestselling and most innovative collections with a new colour.
August 10th, 2017
Launched at Salone del Mobile 2013, the Tosca collection from Belgian outdoor furniture brand Tribù went on to become one of its best-selling and most recognisable collections.
It was originally launched as a family consisting of two-seater and three-seater sofas, a coffee table and a daybed. Thanks to its popularity, over the years Tribù has expanded the collection with dining tables, a dining chair, an armchair, and a lounger.
The brainchild of Italian architect and designer Monica Armani, Tosca features extra-large ‘braiding’ woven onto powder coated stainless steel frames. Innovation is one of the cornerstones of the Tribù brand, and this braiding is testament of the brand’s commitment to research and technology.
“It was extremely complicated to develop the product,” says Armani, adding that she was very happy about the result, the feel and the versatility of the collection.
This intricate and innovative element is made of EPDM foam encased in high-tech material knitted from textilene and polyolefin. This element not only adds an intriguing texture to the overall design but also feels soft to the touch as well as being completely weather resistant.
Tosca has grown even more versatile this year with the addition of a new colour option for the braiding. In addition to its classic beige (‘linen’) colour, it is now also offered in wengé, a dark brown colour that will add interesting contrast to Tribù’s timeless palette.
In Singapore, Tribù is available from Xtra.
