Danish bathroom and kitchen accessories brand VOLA has released the T60 hand shower, a new user-centric product under its highly-acclaimed Round Series.
May 19th, 2016
The highly-acclaimed Round Series by VOLA is characterised by unique spherical forms and narrow rings. Adding on to the award-winning series is the newly launched T60 hand shower, designed by Aarhus Arkitekterne. The T60 is composed of soothing circular forms in balanced proportions, sharing the DNA of its predecessor, the round-head shower 060.
The T60’s round shower head comes with a cylindrical handle that fits within the palm of the user comfortably. The supporting tube of the T60 extends behind and beyond the shower head as a key element, while the accompanying shower rail can be attached to the wall with a matching round fixing.
All in all, the design is user-centric to imbue bathrooms with seamless functionality and a sense of tranquility that enhances the quality of life of users. Embracing continuity and history, the modernist form and minimalistic approach also calls to mind the first VOLA tap, designed in 1968 by Danish design legend Arne Jacobsen.
The T60 has a standard flow rate of 12 litres per minutes. Users may also opt for a water-saving model that flows at 7.5 litres per minute.
Introduced by VOLA’s founder Verner Overgaard, the concept of “revealing only the elegant parts of a product to the user” is evident throughout VOLA’s pieces. The brand believes in balancing form and function to create products that will contribute to making the home a better place.
The T60 has received the Iconic Design Award 2015, GOOD DESIGN Award 2015 and German Design Award 2016 – Special Mention.
