The 2017 Meridiani collection takes on classic furniture typologies and updates them with contemporary flair to suit today’s living spaces.

Established in 1996 by Laura Ferraro Crosti, Meridiani is known for finely detailed and impeccably crafted furniture. Elegant yet relaxed, sophisticated yet effortless, classic yet contemporary – these furniture pieces are made to withstand the test of time. And a new suite of furniture launched at the Salone del Mobile this year was no exception.
Designed by Meridiani’s Art Director Andrea Parisio, the 2017 Meridiani collection takes on classic furniture typologies and updates them with contemporary flair to suit today’s living spaces.
The Owen dining table, for example, refreshes the familiar pedestal dining table form with a layer of wood under the table top. This ‘under-top’ is varnished in either black or a bronzed-brass hue. Catering to today’s more informal dining habits, Owen is produced in both standard dining height and a lower ‘lounge’ version.
Complementing this table is the Odette chair, a dining chair that embodies the balance between beauty and practicality. Odette’s frame is made with Polimex, a patented polystyrene and polyurethane blend that is both eco-friendly and ultra light to cater to today’s more dynamic living space configurations. The fabric-upholstered version of Odette features a removable cover for easy cleaning.
The Hector linear sofa expresses the warmth of our contemporary homes via its friendly proportions. The sofa welcomes you home and provides an island of comfort with its generous depth and a low seat height.
Meanwhile, the Timothy modular sofa consists of geometric units with fine details and finishes that speak of their high quality and designer pedigree. The bases, side panels and feet of the units are covered in leather with double stitching details and bronze-bass insert.
A suite of complementing elements that includes coffee tables and container units is available in various finishes to complete and further personalise your domestic landscape.
In Singapore, Meridiani is available from Marquis.
