From Copenhagen, Denmark, it’s time to welcome Ferm Living into the homes of Singapore design lovers. Defined by soft forms, rich textures and deep colours, Ferm Living is a brand that specialises in furniture, accessories and lighting specifically designed to bridge that gap between house and home.
Founded by Trine Andersen, Ferm offers a uniquely curated collection that celebrates the earth and its people; serving designer objects that calm the senses to create homes that can truly serve as the serene and relaxing places they need to be in the midst of an ever-changing world.
The entire range of Ferm Living furniture demonstrates a sincere and authentic appreciation of the craft of design – with a love of nature, handicrafts and recycled materials helping drive the brand.
“It all started with wallpaper, or rather, a lack of it,” says founder Trine “In 2005, I had just moved into a house with my husband, and just couldn’t seem to find a wallpaper that fit our taste. I therefore decided to make my own, which resulted in ten different wallpaper designs.
“I applied to exhibit them at a trade fair in Denmark but couldn’t afford to manufacture all ten designs, so with just one wallpaper and a handful of printouts, Ferm Living was born.”
Fifteen years later, this range of expanded well beyond wallpaper. With collections ranging from welcoming living room lounges, charming textiles, lighting and so much more, the Ferm team offers a complete home solution for interior designers and design loving homeowners alike.
Ferm believes that the home is a special place, and their range reflects this. As life becomes increasingly chaotic and busy in the modern world, the home should be a place for reflection, relaxation, and an area where we can truly be ourselves. This is why the range is as varied and extensive as it is. With a design minded philosophy, the Ferm Living collection offers objects designed for contemporary interior spaces, varied in style but unified in an aesthetic that honours authenticity and warmth.
Designed in their base in Copenhagen, and collaborating with artisans and designers around the world, Ferm Living’s collections are available locally thanks to Xtra Designs.
