Earlier this month, Instyle launched new products within its already successful ecoustic® collection.
February 21st, 2014
Instyle’s ecoustic® collection will be available in a wider range of colours: 11 bright and classic neutral colours have been added to its ecoustic® felt, ecoustic® panel and screen product ranges.
ecoustic® moov is the first tile product within the ecoustic® collection. ecoustic® moov is an elegant wall and ceiling panelling tile designed to provide excellent broadband sound absorption in any interior space such as boardrooms, restaurants, theatres and auditoriums. Developed by Wovin In Australia, the aim was to create a breakthrough product by applying acoustic principals into a commercial panelling tile product. And after extensive research and development, ecoustic® moov represents a highly effective, innovative engineered solution to acoustic challenges without sacrificing aesthetics.
ecoustic® moov is comprised of a sound chamber and monitor tile. The sound chamber tile creates a cavity for sound pressure to build within and the monitor tile affects the flow of pressure released from the ports as pressure fluctuates. Essentially the sound chamber tile targets a particular frequency range and the monitor tile broadens the frequency range. Achieving an outstanding NRC (noise reduction coefficient) result of 0.9 with consistent performance in the medium to high frequencies, the smooth hyperbolic curves of ecoustic® moov will transform any wall or ceiling into a functional and sensuous felt expanse.
The installation of ecoustic® moov can be customised through the use of colour and the formation of shapes created by multiple tiles. ecoustic® moov is available in a wide range of 15 bright and neutral colourways, which can be installed in a single colour or in a mix of colour combinations. ecoustic® moov also won the Best of Year 2013 Award at the Interior Design Awards in New York City on December 5 2013, voted by the designers as their favourite Furniture: Partitions and Wall Systems product.
