The Contemporary Leathers collection comes out tops in comfort and here’s why.
November 20th, 2013
Instyle has collaborated with leading leather tanneries and an independent consultant to develop a seating comfort rating to assist clients in selecting the most appropriate and comfortable leather to serve their needs. This rating is based on the leather’s ability to breathe and absorb moisture, thereby transferring moisture away from the body.
The entire Contemporary Leathers collection has been independently tested to measure water vapour transmission, which determines how the leather will behave against the human body. And the results are impressive, with many leathers within the collection achieving a Level 5 rating, the highest level in comfort.
Generally, the most natural, pure Aniline leathers can breathe and absorb moisture to a greater level than the more processed leather types such as Pigmented and Corrected Grain.
Each leather’s seating comfort rating can be found on Instyle’s website and sampling.
Instyle is distributed in Singapore by Infinity Pte Ltd and in Hong Kong by Charlene Cheong Limited.
