The Panbeton® line by Concrete LCDA comprises of lightweight wall panels fronted by raw concrete, and backed by an ultra-light foam. As a result, the Panbeton series is light, and easy to cut and install, inspiring new expressions of genuine concrete in interior fittings.

The latest Panbeton collection comprises seven models designed by five leading architects and designers, including Jean-Marie Massaud, Jean-Philippe Nuel, Ora Ïto, Terence Woodgate and Victoria Wilmotte – all of whom were selected for their vast experience with the materiality of concrete.

Within the new series, Terence Woodgate opted for a textural approach with two new products, Barbican and OSB. Inspired by early memories of witnessing the construction of the Barbican Towers, the industrial designer says, “I remember seeing men with pneumatic hammers creating the terrific texture on the cast concrete of the Barbican Towers.”

OSB, as its name suggests, reflects the texture of the Oriented Strand Board, taking a step back to showcase the fundamental base of cast concrete.

On the other hand, the expression of Ora Ïto is graphical, inspired by the architecture of Villa Planchart and the work of Italian design legend Giò Ponti. Giòmetry possesses subtle, oblique edges that enable various patterns through creative execution. It changes its look based on lighting, placement and perspective.

Chevrons by Jean-Philippe Nuel sports a herringbone pattern reminiscent of 19th-century wooden apartment flooring. Nuel continues his portrayal of wood and concrete in Timber.

Vertical expressions are observed in Victoria Wilmotte’s Factory, which possesses clean, straight lines – a modern and classic touch that is ideal for industrial architecture.

Likewise, Jean-Marie Massaud’s Slats can be used at random to create accents in interior spaces.
