Luxury bathroom and kitchen fittings and furnishings manufacturer, Gessi’s first flagship in Asia spans 613.87 square metres, housed within an iconic Victorian building at 165 Penang Road. A stone’s throw away from Orchard, the two storey building sits on a former nutmeg estate, and was previously a pair of semi-detached houses. Characteristics include old cornices, decorative balustrades and pilasters, all of which were retained to preserve the heritage of the ‘Late Bungalow House Style’.
Designed in alignment to Gessi’s firm mission of evoking a sense of wellness through ethereal environments, the flagship in Singapore proves to be a destination site for experiential spaces. Entering the majestic building, a sense of physical wellbeing and quality living is conveyed through an array of breathtaking and functional bathroom and kitchen ideas.
The range of solutions provided include customisable fixtures, ceramic sanitary ware, bath linens and home fragrances – all applicable towards creating the perfect ambience for personal and professional well-being.
The gallery of home concepts include the minimalistic Rettangolo, soothing Ovale, seamless Goccia, harmonious iSpa, timeless Eleganza and verdant Cono, highlighting the brand’s revolutionary ideas for its audience in Singapore.
With a history that dates back to 1992, the eponymous brand was founded by Umberto Gessi, beginning as a small workshop with an aim to challenge the status quo of the industry. Over the years, Gessi pioneered ground breaking philosophies that developed the brand into one of the most sought after around the world, with regards to bathroom and kitchen experiences.
The mission to defy conventions remains deeply rooted in Gessi today, as the brand retains its clear vision of change and creativity with focus on technology, with an ultimate purpose to transform the manner in which humans interact during moments of respite.
