The AXOR MyEdition is a celebration of all of what AXOR does best – boundary pushing design, customisable concepts, and sleek, unique aesthetics.
October 1st, 2020
For the brand’s 25th anniversary, Hansgrohe’s AXOR has launched the AXOR MyEdition collection. The new collection offers a new dimension of personalisation, with the sleek, beautiful aesthetics and faultless function the AXOR brand is known for. Designed in collaboration with Red Dot Design Team winners Phoenix Design, the linear and monolithic design of AXOR MyEdition creates a large stage for personal expression and creativity.
The taps themselves are composed of two separate parts – the body and the plate, and can also be tailor made to satisfy personal preferences and bathroom aesthetics. There are 10 different AXOR FinishPlus PVD surfaces to select from, with a broad selection of exclusive AXOR Signature materials and colours too – finishes resembling wood, marble, leather and metal mean there’s an AXOR MyEdition available for all styles.
With more than 225 design choices, the AXOR anniversary collection caters to the contemporary trends of customisation and personalisation. “Making a personal statement through customized interiors is the essence of luxury,” says Andreas Diefenbach of Phoenix Design “With the AXOR MyEdition collection, we have set the stage for personal creativity – colours, materials and patterns create the point of departure for a unique and personalized tap.”
Made of the finest materials, the AXOR MyEdition reflects the artisan manufacturing spirit of Hansgrohe, where its design team, engineers, and passionate master craftsmen and women process raw materials to perfection. The world-famous Lasa Marble is used for the ultra-thin mounting plates of the MyEdition tapware – only adding to the premium feeling, and sense of luxury of these pieces. “It is absolutely extraordinary to produce natural stone in this thin format”, Joshua Walter, master stonemason, says.
In addition to the Lasa Marble, AXOR also selected a sleek black marble from Basque country for options in mounting plates. Whether Lasa Marble or black marble, the AXOR team only selects pieces with especially beautiful veining, which means every piece is unique, and every piece is beautiful and durable. The thin stone can be easily broken, so the master craftspeople of AXOR have their skills put to the test in the manufacturing and strengthening of the faucet plates. The work is worth it for the result though – the plates, like the taps themselves, are masterpieces on a micro scale; brilliant, perfect, individual and functional.
The AXOR MyEdition range is available now, and if this is how the brand is celebrating its 25th anniversary, we can’t wait to see what the next 25 years will bring.
