Barnaby (top image)
Designed by Perrine & Gilles and first seen at this year’s Milan Furniture Fair, Barnaby turns a sofa cover into a work of art. After a seemingly endless number of prototypes, the designers managed to find a solution to cover the structure whilst respecting the chair’s volume. And since the cover is loose, it can easily be changed to create a new look.
Duo
With Duo, the challenge was to propose a modular system with welcoming seats, without the use of cushions – and this mission was fulfilled with the integration and sculpting of the seat and cushions into the structure. Duo’s wide seat allows users to add decorative cushions and even incorporate extra back cushions. The variety of modules and terminal modules that this model offers also makes Duo an all-purpose design well suited for various environments. The sofa comes with an auxiliary table.
Rew
Rafa Garcia’s new creation is an incredibly versatile product. The sofa can be used in the dining room, or in the office or hotel lobby since its high back affords a sense of privacy. The legs are black lacquered steel and ash wood, and are also available in various colour options.
Perigallo
Also new from the Milan Furniture Fair, ‘Perigallo’ is taken from a local Spanish dialect, and describe a three-legged ladder used to harvest local fruit. With this design, Dominguez, Ibanez and Garcia have borrowed this traditional idea and given it a new use. Perigallo is a stool that can be folded away when not in use, making it ideal for those who suddenly find themselves in need of more seating. The structure is made of ash wood and can be stained in any of the following colours: klein, silk grey, mango, malachite, yellow, anthracite or a natural matte finish. The seat is available in seven fabrics.
City
City is an urban and dynamic project that allows for great personalisation. While the structure remains the same, one can choose different proposals for back, seat and legs. These variations ultimately result in three collections: Soft, Casual and Compacto.
