Architects from around the world have come together to donate a selection of unique items for auction to raise money for the Australian flood relief effort.
The Australian Institute of Architects has compiled a collection of items for an online auction of which all proceeds will go to the Salvation Army flood relief appeal.
Anyone with an interest in art and design is encouraged to visit architecture.com.au/auction and place a bid on any of 16 donated items, including:
– Brunch with Billie Tsien & Tod Williams, partners of Williams Billie Tsien Architects in their New York apartment overlooking Central Park;
– An original sketch by Pritzker Prize winner and respected Japanese architect Toyo Ito;
– A signed copy of Spanish architect and Pritzker Prize winner Rafael Moneo’s monograph Remarks on 21 Works;
– A signed copy of BOLLES + WILSON A Handful of Productive Paradigms, signed by leading German architect Peter Wilson.
Bidding is open now and will close at 3:00pm Wednesday 3 March 2011. Don’t miss this chance to own a piece of architecture history, as well as give to the flood relief effort.
