At 9pm, the Tan Boon Liat building is usually quiet. But not last Friday.
On 3 May 2019, starting at 9pm and lasting through the night, Fritz Hansen and retailer partner W.Atelier celebrated the Danish brand’s permanent presence in the building with a party attended by some 200 industry friends and partners.
Lit by a disco ball, the opening party of the Fritz Hansen Lounge featured music by Darker Than Wax’s DJ Kaye, natural wines, craft cocktails by EC Proof, and the showroom’s designer – the inimitable Jaime Hayon.
The Fritz Hansen Lounge is the first showroom designed by Hayon in Southeast Asia. Like the brand’s flagship store in Xi’an (look out for a feature in Cubes July issue!), Singapore’s Fritz Hansen Lounge has been designed as a lifestyle space that encourages guests to hang out and immerse themselves in Fritz Hansen’s Scandi culture.
