Kvadrat
Kvadrat
The Asia debut of Doshi Levien’s first curtain collection for Kvadrat took place in conjunction with SGID16. The Kvadrat showroom hosted Doshi Levien’s curving architectural installation, alongside mood boards and personal sketches that revealed unique insights into the collection. Titled Pilotis, the installation was made up of fabrics from the range, and hung down from the ceiling, inviting one to experience the texture and scale of the lush materials. Nipa Doshi of Doshi Levien held two insightful presentations at the showroom, and also gave an engaging talk on the studio’s design philosophy and creative processes to a full house at the National Design Centre.

Kreon
Kreon presented its newly acquired brand Belux with a lighting installation by Studiogoto. Using the Cloud light fittings designed by Frank Gehry, Studiogoto focused its installation on the three-dimensional quality of light. Against a dark backdrop and surrounded by barely discernible strings, the installation, titled FORMation, moved gently, recalling the slow movements of actual clouds and reinforcing the poetic and sculptural qualities of the pendant light.

Scandinavian Business Seating
Scandinavian Business Seating delighted audiences with a picturesque installation that was filled with colours and scenes inspired by the Northern Lights and Nordic landscapes. Conceived by Andrew Loh Designs, the breathtaking showcase started at the bottom of the stairs with a colourful and abstract landscape made up of Panelogue materials. This led up to a breathtaking and moving aurora lights display in a room filled with music. The installation reinforced colour as an important element that harmonises the company’s portfolio of brands while emphasising a strong Scandinanvian identity. Ahead of their big reveal at Orgatec 2016, visitors of SGID16 gained an exclusive preview of the HÅG Capisco Puls and RBM family in new colours born out of a thorough research process.
