Holiday mode is officially over; it’s time to get back into gear. And what better way to feel like you’ve crossed something important off your list than finalising your INDE.Awards entries?

But what are the different categories we’ll be assessing? Peruse this list and if you’ve still got some questions, take a look at our handy FAQs here.

The Building:  awarded to the project that marks a new direction in the future of architecture.

Austin Maynard Architects (Melbourne) won The Design Studio category in 2017

The Living Space: will go to the region’s most inspiring home.

Cornwall Gardens (Singapore) by CHANG Architects won The Living Space category in 2017

The Social Space: honours the best in hospitality design.

Mezzi Master Bookshop & Exhibit (Changsha) by One Plus Partnership was shortlisted in The Social Space category in 2017. This year, retail design is catered to in our new INDEs category The Shopping Space

The Design Studio: architect, designer or modern hybrid, this award will go to a studio that thinks differently.

Spatial Practice (Hong Kong) was shortlisted in The Design Studio category in 2017

The Work Space: takes into account the growing impact of workplaces by honouring a design that meets needs.

BCG Digital Ventures (Sydney) by Carr Design was shortlisted in The Work Space category in 2017

The Object: more than just beautiful things, the object recognises an outstanding design.

The Polar Desk Lamp by Ross Gardam (Melbourne) was shortlisted in The Object category in 2017

The Influencer: marks a person, product or project that is a making change for the better through design.

The disaster-relief concept Living Shelter by WY-TO (Singapore) was shortlisted in The Influencer category in 2017

And four new categories!

The Multi-Residential Building: taking into account the growing need for apartment living, this new award honours a multi-res project that considers community and sustainability.

The Learning Space: is awarded to a project that promotes connection and education.

The Shopping Space: retail has gone through massive changes; we honour the ones that offer mastery over shifting ground.

The Wellness Space: as a growing sector we will award an outstanding design that emphasises the human experience.

Plus there’s Launch Pad, which will mentor an ultimate winner, taking a product from prototype to production.
