W. Atelier and the Republic of Fritz Hansen celebrated the launch of Jaime Hayon’s Lune Sofa at Art Porters gallery. The consensus of the evening? Lune feels just right!
18 May, 2017
“Sofas tend to be presented from the front. I wanted to highlight the beauty of the Lune profile and the harmony between the backrest and the seat,” said Jaime Hayon of Lune, his new modular sofa for Republic of Fritz Hansen during the brand’s presentation in Milan in April.
Now Lune has landed in Singapore at W. Atelier. The Singapore launch event was held at Art Porters in Spottiswood Park, and saw industry figures and media friends treated to wine and canapés as they experienced the comfort of Lune.
The Lune sofas were artfully displayed among the colourful artworks. “Lune is a Danish word that refers to a certain coveted, ideal temperature and the feeling one gets when everything is just right,” explained Dario Reicherl, Vice President Asia Pacific & Middle East, Republic of Fritz Hansen. “That’s what this remarkable piece embodies and we are very happy to introduce it to the Singapore market.” He added, “It’s like a warm comfortable place… but not so warm that you get burnt!”
