The Design Journey Continues at W. Atelier

Leveraging over 30 years of industry experience, W. Atelier has opened a flagship showroom that cements its position as one of the leading purveyors of the luxury lifestyle in Singapore.

The Design Journey Continues at W. Atelier

After building much anticipation since last year, W. Atelier opened a bigger and brighter flagship showroom in July, and it has made good on its promise to deliver a sumptuous retail experience!

Located at the Apex Building on Henderson Road, the flagship showroom spans 20,000 square feet with a six-metre-high ceiling and a vast glass frontage. The light-filled showroom comprises two floors with a mezzanine displaying extensive offerings from some of the world’s best brands. It’s a culmination of W. Atelier’s decades of purveying luxury lifestyle items in the region.

“The philosophy of kaizen has always been deeply entrenched in W. Atelier’s DNA,” says Gani Atmadiredja, Managing Director of W. Atelier, at the showroom’s opening (see images from the opening party here). Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy that alludes to continuous improvement and W. Atelier’s success story is a testament to this.

W. Atelier was established in 1979 as the exclusive distributor of sanitary ware and bathroom fixtures brand TOTO. By 2010, W. Atelier had expanded its portfolio to include kitchen, furniture, lighting and accessories brands to offer a truly complete home solution.

Today, the atelier prides itself as a curator of timeless objects that are richly steeped in history and tradition. Leading up to the opening of the flagship showroom, the atelier acquired more exceptional brands to further expand its portfolio.

Joining principal brands TOTO and Fritz Hansen in the flagship showroom are Italian furniture brands Zanotta and Lema, renowned lighting brands Lasvit and Santa & Cole, and high-tech German kitchen brands Siematic and next125.

At the ground floor, visitors are received into an elegant living room setting furnished with pieces from Zanotta and Lema and illuminated by striking lighting products from Lasvit and Santa & Cole.

Design hunters can find timeless iconic pieces, including Zanotta’s Lama lounger and Sacco chair (the world’s first commercially manufactured beanbag chair produced in 1968), and the new classic Neverending Glory chandelier from Lasvit (a bestselling lighting series modelled after the silhouettes of chandeliers that adorn some of the world’s most famous theatres).

This living room area flows seamlessly to the adjoining kitchen area, which features two live kitchens courtesy of Siematic and next125.

The mezzanine level houses an extensive Fritz Hansen collection, from timeless masterpieces (such as the Egg, the Swan and the Series 7 chairs) to the latest bestsellers (such as the Ro and Fri chairs by Jaime Hayon and the Objects collection).

The entire second floor is dedicated to TOTO bathroom and kitchen products. Visitors can experience TOTO products first hand in the showroom’s four bathroom concepts – the Universal Concept; the Library Concept; the Executive Concept; and the Commercial and Hotel Concept for those seeking to impress.
