Product Description
Designed in 1954 by BBPR, and produced by Arflex today, the Elettra armchair is a classic piece of furniture, characterised by its soft seat and back and slender frame, creating a unique proportion. Available in armchair and dining chair option.
BBPR. is a practice comprises architects, city planners and designers helmed by Gian Luigi Banfi, Ludovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressuti and Ernesto Nathan Rogers.
The first project of note was in 1946, after the war and the passing of Banfi: the planning of the reconstruction of Milan, the A.R. Plan at the Ninth Milan Triennale, when one can trace the birth of Italian design. The furnishings for office and communal areas, along with home furniture, were first created in the fifties. One of them was the Elettra chair, which was designed by BBPR in 1954.
