Today, many modular systems are still designed with square and linear appearance. To enhance their modularity in different configurations and with the arch in mind, Jaime Hayon designed something more organic for Arflex – the Arcolor sofa.
The consistency of this approach applies to the legs, with arches touching the ground. A strong coherence and rhythmic repetition of the form recalls the iconic Roman aqueduct, adapting well across various contexts, whether public or private, lobbies or living rooms.
The sofa has the base and feet in wood, lacquered in the colours of the Arflex collection. The frame is in metal with upholstery in shaped polyurethane with differentiated density.
