The new designs at XTRA Winsland House I portray the functionality and usage of today’s contemporary kitchens.
March 26th, 2012
Schiffini Kitchen, long recognised as a reference point for Italian design, has recently arrived in Singapore at XTRA.
The new setup features the Cinqueterre kitchen system designed by Vico Magistretti, the Mesa kitchen system designed by Alfredo Häberli, and the One Profile kitchen system conceived by the Schiffini design team. Adding to the aesthetics are Gaggenau and Marc Newson’s Smeg appliances, Sub Zero’s refrigerators and wine chiller, as well as the Knindustries range of cookware designed by Rodolfo Dordoni.
Highlights…
Cinqueterre kitchen system
As the first kitchen made entirely out of aluminium, Cinqueterre is a refined, conceptual design in which the material used to make the concealed components and structures are also revealed on the outside. The elegant and high-resistance anodised aluminium doors are characterised by a wave surface that reflects precision craftsmanship.
The range now also comes in a new Titanium finish.
Mesa kitchen system
Mesa is Alfredo Häberli’s response to the need for rationality and functionality in contemporary kitchens. Aesthetically, exclusive decorative patterns and colours as well as the key elements create atmospheres and sensations from the past.
The kitchen is made up of 3 basic components: a multifunctional island that encourages social interaction; a large convivial table with benches; and a column of modular elements for storing food and for built-in household appliances.
The materials are warm and tactile, and the asymmetric lines created by the placement of the modules create a sense of welcome and the pleasantness of a lived-in kitchen.
One Profile kitchen system
One Profile by Schiffini’s own design team is a highly modular, functional kitchen. There are a wide selection of door finishes to choose from, including wood veneer, glossy and matte lacquer, laminate, lacquered glass and stainless steel. Profiles in aluminium are available in a selection of matte and glossy lacquered colours to match or to contrast against the doors.
Schiffini is now available in Singapore at XTRA.
