Saturday in Design returned to home shores on 19 and 20 August with a bigger-than-ever event.
They say that the sun always shines on Saturday in Design – and although a rainy and windy +Friday didn’t bode well for the rest of the weekend, on Saturday the sun was shining and the atmosphere was electric.
7000+ people flocked to 36 locations across 7 precincts, soaking up the best of Australian and international design from 90 different exhibitors.
The keyword for The Project installations – collaborations between local designers and architects and exhibiting showrooms – was ELEMENT, and each group of creatives put its own imaginative twist on the theme.
New products from the likes of UK designer Benjamin Hubert, Danish designer Rolf Hay and Hong Kong-based Michael Young were a real drawcard.
