ERCO’s Quintessence range presents new LED double-focus downlights, taking the “light, not luminaires” principle to positive extremes
October 12th, 2012
Designed to provide efficient visual comfort for sophisticated environmetns with high ceilings, this range is a precisely engineered and refined solution.
Double-focus downlights have proven their value in prestigious areas that are required to meet stringent standards and supply efficient visual comfort.
ERCO’s Quintessence range of recessed luminaires now includes a model featuring new LED technology. Their optical system uses ERCO’s exclusive Spherolit lens technology which effectively eliminates any ’spill’ of light.
The LED double-focus downlights also provide a choice of flush or covered mounting details that are characteristic of the renowned Quintessence Collection.
ERCO’s coordination of the LED lamp source, its lens, as well as the control gear guarantees maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness and perhaps most importantly: optimal light quality. Compared to previous versions housing conventional lamps, the double-focus downlights with LED technology stand apart due to their much lower energy consumption and reduced height.
With the beam directed downward at a perfectly vertical angle, and with a rotationally symmetrical light distribution, these downlights are particularly suitable for glare-free, horizontal ambient lighting in rooms with high ceilings in which the highest level of visual comfort is required.
This new evolution of the range is a prime example of ERCO’s concept of providing “light, not luminaires”. A typical application of double-focus downlights is prestigious foyers, theatres and concert halls. The collection is also compatible with DALI control gear.
