The new virtual store delivers colourful, handprinted fabrics and made-to-measure soft furnishings direct to your door.

The world of retail may be heading online at rapid speed, but interiors have yet to really catch on.
Enter Korla, a young, forward-looking company from Singapore that hopes to provide more options for the way we shop for, and buy, quality fabrics and soft furnishings such as curtains for our homes and interior spaces.
Launched in December 2011, Korla is an online retail platform offering handprinted fabrics in evocative motifs and vibrant colours. All the textiles are made from 100% cotton and cotton-linen blends.
The designs are conceived by one of Korla’s founders, Jane Bonsor, who comes from a background in fashion – Bonsor’s British clothing label, Pocket Venus, had also been known for its strong play on prints, a passion has now taken that leap into interior furnishings.
Through Korla’s website customers and interior designers alike can order fabric by the yard/metre, made-to-measure curtains and blinds, and cushions and lampshades.
The site’s Lookbook offers visitors design inspiration, while the Virtual Showroom has a fun tool that allows visitors to explore the collection by mixing and matching prints and colours across a variety of furnishings.
The website takes users step-by-step through the entire selection and buying process and, importantly, is easy to use and navigate (believe us, we tried).
And for those who need to see and touch ‘the real thing’, Korla is also happy to mail out fabric swatches on request to customers in Singapore and around the world.
