Maison & Objet Asia will debut in Singapore from 10 to 13 March 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, bringing with it the very same spirit of creativity and sophistication that characterises its Parisian event.

The event in Singapore will be the first foray into Asia. With over 180 exhibitors, Maison & Objet Asia will present the best in interior design product ranges and concepts. This careful selection of exhibitors places an exciting emphasis on regional design offerings.
The Maison & Objet Asia team made a successful 10-day pre-salon tour of five Asian cities – Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore. The Asian tour firmly underscored Maison & Objet Asia’s commitment to the region with aims to nurture an Asian visitor base to the salon. With a strong representation of leading Asian companies expected at the show, Maison & Objet Asia also aims to attract European visitors in search of new design influences and ideas to Singapore come March next year.

Maison & Objet Asia offers a platform to showcase some of the best in Asian design and provides an opportunity to feature collaborative projects from around the region. DESIGNER OF THE YEAR MAISON&OBJET ASIA 2014
In line with the Paris event, Maison & Objet Asia will also be presenting Designer of The Year at its Asian edition in Singapore. The Designer of The Year Maison & Objet Asia 2014 will be selected from among top Asian designers who have made a strong impression in their field of design. The Designer of The YEar Maison & Objet Asia 2014 will be given an opportunity to design an aspect of the show in Singapore and will play the role of ambassador for Maison & Objet Asia.
TALENTS À LA CARTE
Emerging talent from around the Asian region will also be spotlighted at the salon. Talents à la Carte, an exhibition platform for emerging designers at the Maison & Objet Paris salons, will also be part of the Singapore show. Featuring new talents from the region, it will present six of the best emerging designers, each representing their individual countries. Nominated designers will come from the fields of fragrance, object, furniture, graphic, wallpaper and textile, lighting, fashion accessory and jewellery design as well as home decoration. Talents à la Carte will be an important opportunity for emerging Asian designers to showcase their work to the international professional visitors of Maison & Objet Asia.
Maison & Objet Asia will also be organising a summit titled, Interior Design & Lifestyle Summit by M&O Asia. The summit will start with a keynote by an influential personality from the industry and branch out into various sessions. Topics will include: Trends & Inspirations Workshops; Best of Interior Design, presenting an exemplary interior design project in Asia; Best of Retail, featuring innovative concept stores and the home & lifestyle sections of a department store; Roundtable on Retail and Roundtable on Design Schools & Interior Design in Asia. Attendance at the Summit will be free for visitors of Maison & Objet Asia.
Maison & Objet Asia will kick start its Singapore edition with an opening party that will bring together international and regional design professionals. Taking place on 10 March 2014, the invitation-only party promises to be a design event not to be missed, offering guests the flair and chic that have always characterised Maison & Objet Asia, combined with distinctly Asian nuances, making its first edition in Asia truly unique.
Maison & Objet Asia is organised by SAFI and will be held from 10 to 13 March 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Maison & Objet Asia 2014 will be part of Singapore Design Week 2014, a week celebrating the very best in design.
