The Singapore eco-furniture company wins awards for its hardcover book and website.
16 January, 2012
d-Bodhi and its furniture collections have been recipient of no less than 5 awards in 4 years at the International Furniture Fair Singapore since it was established in 2007, but this is the first time the company’s creative communication efforts are being recognised.
Their very first hardcover book “d-Bodhi 2011” took home a MarCom 2011 ‘Platinum’ award, while their website received a ‘Gold’.
The first edition is dedicated to the entrepreneurial spirit of d-Bodhi’s international distributors and retailers in nearly 30 countries. It also provides readers with intimate insight into how d-Bodhi furniture pieces are made with recycled iron, reclaimed boat wood, old teak wood and even used denim jeans at its production facilities in Jogyakarta, Indonesia.
“People didn’t understand why I would make a hardcover book to use for our marketing in these challenging economic times. In fact, the d-Bodhi 2011 book has proven to be an excellent tool for us to easily show people what d-Bodhi is all about. They can immediately see the quality that sets the tone for all the rest of our products, then view many more details on our website. It all fits together,” says d-Bodhi’s founder, Raymond Davids.
Bodhi 2011 is the first of what will be an annual hardcover book.
