Timber
With so many hard, cold finishes in the bathroom area, timber is always a welcome addition. Galassia’s timber forms, such as the legs on the Struttura Legno basin in the Ergo range, brings a sense of the natural with its branch-like structure.
Accessories
So the bathroom is more than just a space, it’s an experience. And many exhibiting companies that traditionally offer furniture and fittings are expanding their ranges. We’re seeing more and more products like dressing gowns, aromatherapy and candles, such as the Green Tea range by Lineabeta.
Sounds Like Innovation
As well as beauty and aroma, another element that promotes wellbeing is, of course, sound. Roca presented a mirror concept which connects you to stereo FM radio or your MP3, as well as light adjustment, time and room temperature. Check out the Innova Radio.
Humour
It’s not for everybody, but some quirky, ironic ranges from Art Ceram certainly made us smile. The Cow range has a top-heavy form with dainty legs – immediately bringing bovines to mind, while the Teacup should feature in the next remake of Alice in Wonderland.
Angles
We saw some geometric looks in basins last year, but the ’Crystal’ collection from Olympia takes faceted forms to the full range of sanitaryware, washbasins in wall-hung, freestanding and corner options in both black and white.
