The new “Blum Connect for iPad” app gives users instant access to a wealth of information and ideas for the kitchen.
February 24th, 2012
When sourcing for the home, particularly the kitchen, attempting to delve through a slew of product options and technical information can prove daunting, but one Austrian furniture fittings specialist has found a way to make this experience both easier and more meaningful for customers.
Blum has launched a highly comprehensive, interactive, and – importantly – user-friendly iPad app called Blum Connect. The app delivers extensive and updated information from the brand, from product information to technical specifications and retail prices. It even includes a list of all certified partners and carpenters that have undergone training with Blum so customers know which experts to go to.
To add to the experience, the app includes photos and videos, and has brochures, memos, newsletters and press editorials that can be downloaded for off-line viewing on iBooks.
The app also enables users to share inspirational photos and ideas with their designers and friends via email or Facebook. In addition, any material found in Blum Connect can be tagged and saved in one’s own ‘private collection’, while a ‘What’s New?’ feature give users an update on materials that have been added to the app since their last visit.
Blum has long been known for furniture fittings that are both elegant and effortless, and it would appear that their new iPad app is living up to that reputation.
