PARCS, the innovative office system that Bene and PearsonLloyd teamed up to create, proved so successful that it inspired new additions.

In collaboration with Bene, British design studio PearsonLloyd developed a series of office furniture titled PARCS. Launched in 2009, the holistic system is designed to create a dynamic communicative environment, and even utilises transition spaces.
PARCS consists of easy chairs and small stools, upholstered benches and room dividers, wall elements, tables and shelves. One of its core elements is the West African-inspired Toguna, a free-standing, half-open but acoustically screened cylinder meant for hosting short meetings or discussions that require intense concentration. Another is the Idea Wall, a free-standing wall element with integrated communication and media technology that can act as a room partition or be combined with standing tables or seating to become a presentation space.
Recently, the Club Chair and Phone Booth were added as complements to the original solutions. The Phone Booth is meant to serve as a private area for telephone calls in open spaces, while the Club Chair is offered as an alternative for more casual spaces such as relaxed reception lounges, libraries and meeting rooms. The backrest of the chair is available in a middle-high model, or as a basic model with a swivel base.
By using PARCS in an office or supplementing the original structure with selected elements from the PARCS repertoire, the landscape of the office can be refreshed and allow for a much more useful and motivational space.
PARCS has been very successful commercially and critically. It received 4 international design award nominations including one for the International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) from USA in 2010. The system won 5 other design awards including the red dot award in 2010, and the Focus Open 2010 international design awards.
