Founded in Glasgow in 1990 by Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons, Timorous Beasties are today known the world over for their surreal and provocative textiles and wallpapers.

Nature is a recurring motif in their designs, with illustrative insects, ‘triffid’-like plants, birds and other animals forming a notable part of their product portfolio.

Featured above is a large gold Napoleon Bee on linen. Funky yet opulent, Napoleon Bee is also available on velvet and wallpaper.

The richly illustrated Parrot design below is yet another beautiful example of the company’s skill in the art of printmaking.

Last but certainly not least, the yellow ‘Canavachhio’ from Italy has a slight shine and elegant texture. But more than that it is a unique shade of yellow that matches well with other cushions in the Timorous Beasties product range.

These cushions are filled with a mix of feathers and fibre-fill, which gives them a feathery feel while ensuring they retain a good ‘spring’.

Timorous Beasties is carried in Singapore at Bode.
