Given that the kitchen has evolved into the social centre of the domestic environment, why not take it as the base that informs the design of the rest of the home?

German brand bulthaup has created a comprehensive kitchen system whose application starts in the kitchen, but is not limited to it. The system is called b3.

bulthaup is famous for purist, impeccably made kitchens, and with b3, it’s possible to extend that quality throughout the home. The range offers a slew of innovative elements including wall panels, shelves and a sideboard that are perfectly at home in the living space. Individually, these elements provide elegant solutions, and together with the kitchen components, they are more than the sum of their parts.

b3 offers a multi-function wall for kitchen utensils, cabinetry and other elements. It grants an active role to the kitchen wall, which is transformed into a functional element within the kitchen plan. Wall panels are available in various lengths and materials, including laminate, metal, lacquer and wood. Horizontal gaps between panels can be used to attach sleek shelves and hooks with no visible supporting elements.

For those who like to keep everything where they can see it, the range offers function boxes with glass fronts that sit flush with the wall, leaving nothing to disrupt the clean lines of the kitchen.

The b3 range includes a specially developed mixer faucet. Its design allows users to control outlet’s position as well as the water temperature and flow easily by hand. The faucet can be installed on the worktop, on the wall, or within a function box.

b3’s kitchen island, dubbed the monoblock for its purist form, is a custom-build product tailored exclusively to the individual customer’s needs – from the dimensions and front materials right down to the functions, such as water points and hobs.

At the bulthaup plant, there is one craftsperson assigned to bevelling all the fronts in each monoblock to ensure precise and consistent craftsmanship and that impeccable purist look. And in the case of wood finishes, the craftsperson is tasked with selecting the veneers personally. It’s the perfect reflection of bulthaup’s respect for raw natural materials and individuality.

In Singapore, bulthaup is carried by The Madison Group
