More about the awards:

The Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 is in full swing: Designers, brands and manufacturers from all continents are submitting thousands of entries right now.

In February, an international jury of independent design experts is going to evaluate every product – without online pre-judging, but directly and only on the object. The best achievements will be awarded with the sought-after “Red Dot” quality seal.

In 2015, the competition offers for the first time more than 30 categories for submitting industrially manufactured innovations – among them are the new categories “materials and surfaces”, “watches” and “musical instruments”. The winning designs and the people behind them will be honoured at a festive awards ceremony in Essen, Germany, hometown of the Red Dot and of the Red Dot Design Museum, which is the largest exhibition of contemporary design worldwide.

The Red Dot Gala on 29 June 2015 will be hosted by Red Dot founder and CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec.
