Karl Lagerfeld’s momentous photographic project for Cassina was shown in Singapore recently at Dream Interiors, and this is what the audiences here got to see.
October 20th, 2013
For the very first time in his illustrious career, Karl Lagerfeld has created a photographic series for a furniture brand.
The work was first shown in Paris late last year, and last month, the Singapore creative community had the privilege of seeing the prints up close when the exhibition arrived at the Dream Interiors showroom.
Not only is Lagerfeld a legendary designer, illustrator, publisher and photographer, he also has a passion for contemporary furniture design as seen in this series of ‘portraits’, which is a personal interpretation of the historic and contemporary pieces from the Cassina collection.
“Karl Lagerfeld’s authentic eye enhances the singular characteristics of the Cassina products,” says Gianluca Armento, Brand Director of Cassina. “Each photograph emphasises a silhouette, the elegance of particular finishes, the luxury of a detail, and the seduction of the materials.”
