The new Velaa Private Island Resort in the Maldives offers a sublime luxury experience – one underscored by furnishings from Spanish brand Kettal.
March 26th, 2014
Located in north Malé, in the constellation of islands that form the Noonu Atoll in the Maldives, the new Velaa Private Island Resort is the personification of luxury and relaxation, with ocean pool houses, romantic pool residences, private spas and a unique combination of indoor and outdoor spaces.
It’s little surprise therefore to learn that the interiors are fitted out with furnishings from Kettal. The Spanish furniture brand is recognised for designs that are timeless, functional, expressive and innovative, and for its collaboration with some of today’s leading names in design, including Jasper Morrison, Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni and Hella Jongerlius.
Three collections from Kettal can be found in the resort: Kettal Landscape – a collection of aluminium furniture and pergolas; Kettal Maia – with artisanal braiding and a sturdy aluminum frame; and Kettal Vieques – a collection featuring an aluminium frame and a revolutionary three-dimensional fabric, Nido d”Ape, created exclusively for Kettal.
