Swedish design group Front brings a fresh perspective to the design of the shower.
February 6th, 2014
Front has designed a series of shower products for Axor that allow users to experience water pathways in their most original form.
The designs underscore the hidden aesthetics of technology in a particularly elegant way, transforming pipes, joints, valves, and funnels into charming design objects.
For example, Front has turned a simple funnel into a well-proportioned showerhead, thus demonstrating how traditionally purpose-specific components of a shower can be transformed into a striking design object.
Front’s shower series for Axor consists of five products: a hand shower; a shower set consisting of a hand shower, a wall bar and a shower hose; an overhead shower as a ceiling- or –wall-mounted version with two different spray types; and a showerpipe consisting of a thermostat, a height-adjustable overhead shower and a hand shower.
