As part of its expansion plans across Southeast Asia, Scott Brownrigg has appointed Raymond Hoe as Director of its Singapore office, which was established three years ago. Hoe is a registered architect in Singapore, and will be bringing 15 years of professional expertise to the table. He will work alongside Martin Leatham, Director of Scott Brownrigg’s Southeast Asia operations to drive growing opportunities for the firm in the region.
Well-verse in the design and delivery of projects from masterplanning, residential and mixed-use through to commercial, industrial, institutional and hospitality, Hoe joins the team from WOW Architects Pte Ltd & Warner Wong Pte Ltd, where he was Project Director. He has also worked for RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers Pte Ltd (Singapore).
Projects under his belt include the Henderson Wave Bridge in Singapore; the flagship M Hotel in Chengdu, China; a large commercial town development in Sanya City, China; and the St Regis Hotel in The Maldives, which was recently shortlisted as a finalist in World Architecture Awards 2015.
“Raymond brings a wealth of regional knowledge, design and sector expertise to Scott Brownrigg’s operations within Southeast Asia. His proven and successful track record of winning and designing a variety of schemes across the region is invaluable to the growth of the practice and in meeting its strategic business plan,” says Jonathan Hill, Chairman at Scott Brownrigg, on the appointment.
Hoe is also an invited design tutor in Department of Architecture in the National University of Singapore.
