Singapore-based designer Jarrod Lim tells us what caught his attention at Milan this year.
April 24th, 2012
One of my favourite displays during the annual Milan show this year had to be Kartell.
They didn’t have so many new or innovative projects and they definitely didn’t try to overwhelm the visitor with an eyeball-burning, flashing-light display like last year. The booth was plain, black and boxy.
But what they did give was a small insight into the development of each of their products by showing models, sketches and some short clips of the designers explaining their ideas.
It added some depth and background to the display, where we normally only get to see the finished product.
