As Indesign: The Event continues to grow – 12 years since its inception as Saturday in Design in Sydney, Australia, it has reached 110,000 visitors in five cities across Asia Pacific – the experiential design event is staying at the forefront of design events with a fresh, bold branding look and a new addition to its series of design dates.
Raj Nandan speaking at the recent Sydney Indesign industry preview event
Indesign: The Event’s new look was first unveiled at Sydney Indesign’s Exhibitor Group Meeting in February. Indesign Media CEO Raj Nandan said there, “Indesign: The Event continues to be the region’s single most powerful platform for connecting designers, specifiers, suppliers, manufacturers and developers, through a highly interactive, commercially-focused programme of events. Our new-look brand is a close reflection of our continued commitment to facilitate new business opportunity and growth – especially within Australia and our surrounding region.”
The graphic new look – a bold, colour-block geometric design – was produced by Art Director Christopher Holt in collaboration with Mr Nandan. The interconnected angles and layered hues celebrate the concept of connection and engagement among design professionals.

The new look was presented in Singapore this March, together with the latest addition to Indesign: The Event’s calendar, Singapore Indesign Intimate.
Singapore Indesign Intimate is a two-day event held in two curated spaces, Red Dot Design Museum and National Design Centre, where a carefully edited mix of products for office, hospitality and residential projects will be featured, as well as Indesign: The Event’s signature collaboration installations, The Project.
Adding expert insights and discussions is Design Conversations, a series of ticketed talks with best-in-category designers who will speak on changes, challenges and opportunities in office, hospitality and residential design. Together with this more intimate setup, Cubes is hosting an Architects and Designers’ Lunch. The lunch will take place within the exhibition gallery at Red Dot Design Museum, and will offer opportunities for conversation within the design community, as well as between exhibitors and guests.
