The Pop-Up Singapore House or PUSH for short is a self-initiated project by London-based Creative [SIN]ergy and RSP Planet Design Studios.

As part of the Olympics, they’ve transformed a stately townhouse in Dorset Square into a pop-up arts venue, collaborating with FARM and Platform 65 to present a host of summer events, exhibitions and workshops that highlight some of the brightest as well as emerging Singaporean talents in the UK.

Lost Arts, 1 – 23 Sept

“PUSH aims to bring together Singaporean creatives in the community and showcase Singapore’s creative spirit and emerging talent. For overseas Singaporeans, it is nice to be reminded of the warmth of home through PUSH,” says Clara Yee, the event’s curator. Yee is a DesignSingapore Council scholar currently studying at Central Saint Martins in London, and also helms creative [SIN]ergy, a representative body for both professional and student creatives in the UK.

Soft Lines/Hard Edges, 24 Jul – 23 Sept

“Pop-Up Singapore House is like an eclectic house occupied by a friendly, quirky creative ‘family’, where every guest is welcome and every idea is embraced,” says Yee. “A day at the house is like hanging out with the strangest family you never knew you had, where laser lights from a broken TV and having a tweet battle at the dinner table is completely acceptable.”

The programme offers a diverse range of things to see and do, from art and design exhibitions to literary sessions, theatre, and even ‘Supperclubs’ featuring hearty local dishes that remind one of home.
