Ben McCarthy’s Hollywood Chair for Go Home mixes bold lines with strength and practicality.
February 19th, 2013
The Hollywood Chair was formulated from the idea of melding two wood varieties – FSC-certified American oak and plywood – to create a versatile seating solution for corporate, hospitality and residential spaces.
Hollywood’s bold lines disguise an underlying utilitarian practicality. The chair is stackable and extremely strong. It incorporates foot glides at the base of each solid wood leg, and under-seat stacking protectors for durability.
The chair’s name pays homage to the iconic director’s chair, but also references the Hong Kong neighbourhood where designer Ben McCarthy currently lives.
Hollywood is available in four finishes: natural, black, white and coral red. It is produced by Australian Design Company Go Home.
