Tacchini’s latest designs fresh off the Milan Furniture Fair.
July 6th, 2012
The Tacchini stand at the recent Milan Furniture Fair in April was bold, colourful and reminiscent of a villa by Lake Como. It served as a particularly suitable backdrop for the unveiling of the Bianca Chair (above), which Franco Albini originally sketched as a piece of furniture for the Villa Monzino on the shores of Lake Como in 1939.
The chair was never put into production till Tacchini approached the descendants of the Albini family to have it commercially realised. The chair’s timber frame comes in natural white, black, charcoal and walnut stain options.
Other designs presented in Milan…
The Isola Armchair by Claesson Koivisto Rune, which comes with or without the writing tablet, and has the option of a powder coated or chrome base; the Lima Lounge, also by Claesson Koivisto Rune and available as a single armchair and 3 lounge size options, with white, black or chocolate powder coated frames; and the Ruler Tables, featuring table tops in white Biancone or black Travertine marble, and solid timber legs with geometric cut outs.
