Kvadrat recently held the official launch of its redesigned showroom in Shanghai with a display of the latest curtain collection by Spanish designer Cristian Zuzunaga.

The new showroom signals the importance of the China market for Kvadrat, which has done such landmark projects in the country as the PingAn Finance Building (Shanghai), the Guangzhou Opera House, the China National Museum, and the Guangzhou TV Tower, just to name a few.

“China is an increasingly important market for us. There are many very exciting architectural developments combined with a strong development in the Chinese A&D community and finally a lot of our clients are opening an office or manufacturing facility in China,” Anders Byriel, Kvadrat CEO explains. “Having a presence in China is therefore very important for us.”

The Shanghai showroom will complement Kvadrat’s existing international showrooms, which include Milan, designed by Alfredo Häberli; Stockholm, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec; Copenhagen, also designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec; and London, designed by David Adjaye and Peter Saville.
