Korla gets festive with Chinese zodiac prints for the lunar new year.
January 16th, 2013
The traditional Chinese art of paper cutting has inspired a range of colourful printed fabric from Singapore-based textile company Korla.
Inspired by the intricate shapes on a Chinese new year card she once received, Creative Director Jane Bonsor designed a print featuring the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac.
“We explored a family of traditional reds, but also calm blues, natural greens and vibrant pinks,” says Bonsor.
The design is hand-printed on natural and off-white cotton linens. As is the case for Korla’s wider range of fabrics, the festive series is suitable curtains, blinds or soft furnishings.
Korla fabric can be purchased from Korla’s online retail store.
