Award-winning design meets unmatched functionality in the new ’Epsilon’ island rangehood, designed by Italian designer Mauro Mori for ILVE. Recently, the ILVE ’Epsilon’ was announced as the winner of the 2011 Design Award™ for design excellence at the Australian International Design Awards (AIDA) presentation ceremony.
AIDA is one of the longest standing, most prestigious design awards in the world, and is highly coveted. It represents excellence in form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and innovation – all of which are key features of the ILVE ’Epsilon’.
The ILVE ’Epsilon’ is designed to make cooking easy and eliminate the mess often associated with the kitchen. It acts as a de-humidifier, doing away with misted-over windows, condensation on kitchen surfaces, and the associated damp build-up. An advanced filtering system traps pollutants, fumes, odours and vapour, making cooking a pleasant experience.
Versatility is another key design feature of the ILVE ’Epsilon’. Mori’s design ingenuity eradicates the need for the rangehood to be connected to ducting to extract air outdoors, thus the ’Epsilon’ can be installed almost anywhere. This also makes it the perfect solution for renovation involving kitchen relocation.
Other award-winning features include: adjustable luminous light intensity, purpose built and easy to empty inner container to collect moisture from the air, light indicator for grease filter maintenance, and long life charcoal filter regeneration and substitution.
