The new W Hotel address in Asia comes fitted with a luxurious bathroom collection from Axor.
December 5th, 2011
The measure of a luxury destination can be found in the quality of its bathrooms, and we certainly expect nothing less than the best from a W Hotel.
The new W incarnation in Asia, W Taipei, certainly doesn’t disappoint with the Axor Citterio collection from Axor – the designer brand of Hansgrohe AG.
The collection features clean geometrical lines and bright surfaces, and creates what Antonio Citterio himself describes as “an immediate experience of the richness of water”.
Within the rooms and suites, emphasis is given to individual wellbeing where the bathroom and living spaces blend harmoniously.
In the suites, visual relationships also play an important role: between the bathroom and sleeping area, visual lines are filtered by cleverly arranged timber slats reaching up to ceiling height and acting as room dividers. Living space and bathroom are partly separated yet open at the same time. Individuals wishing for more privacy can feel protected behind coloured shower screens, yet without having to give up the view to the outside entirely.
In addition to the Axor Citterio shower and wash basin mixers, the bathrooms are also equipped with the single-lever bathtub mixer, mounted on a pillar clad in marble.
This luxurious encounter with water no doubt contributes towards making W Taipei a prime address for lovers of good design.
