Airfort’s air-controlled lumbar support and heat-dispersing cushioning pave the way for a new era of comfort and style.
January 28th, 2013
Created by Kokuyo’s Japanese design team, Airfort is an innovative office chair with advanced functionality.
A key component of that functionality is its concealed adjustable lumbar-support air bag. It allows the shape of the seat back to be customised to suit the shape of the user’s spine.
Those with more pronounced spinal curvature can inflate the air bag to increase support to their lumbar region. The customised support relieves fatigue over long periods of sitting. Airfort provides unparalleled air support where you need it, when you need it.
Grooves in the seat foam and a dual layer of breathable fabric upholstery encourage heat dissipation from the sitting zone. A dual layer of breathable mesh on the seat back helps you to maintain cool comfort.
Airfort reclines to an angle of 20 degrees, and its height can be adjusted by 120mm. The depth of the seat surface can be adjusted by 40mm, and the lumbar support can be moved vertically across 50mm. The armrests can be moved 80mm – horizontally and vertically.
Airfort is GREENGUARD certified as a low-emission product made with materials that meet current indoor air-quality standards.
It has also been certified by the Australasian Furnishing Research and Development Institute (AFRDI) as a ‘blue tick’ product. This test ensures that the chair is not only safe, but will last.
